Status: False

Synopsis Edit

If you shoot right at a car's gas tank, you will blow up the car, allegedly due to the bullet igniting the gasoline. No, that is not what will happen; it'll just put a hole in the tank, which will likely cause the gas to leak out and waste quite a bit of money. The reason the bullet doesn't ignite the oil is that the bullet itself is not on fire; an explosion might be caused, however, if you shot the tank at point-blank range (so the explosion itself would contact it).
